Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Horse Feathers are an indie-folk band, whose sound is a more orchestrated version of Iron & Wine’s folk goodness, and frontman Justin Ringle’s voice is reminiscent of Ben Ottewell of Gomez. In 2004 singer-songwriter Ringle started to perform solo shows under the moniker Horse Feathers. Soon he had assembled a band that helped him to flesh out his songs and record his first two albums. But that band has since departed and been replaced, with Horse Feathers existing as a four-piece since 2009.

Tankian's new solo album, "Imperfect Harmonies", arrives on Tuesday (September 21) and follows up his 2007 solo debut, "Elect The Dead". Серж Танкян (Serj Tankian) отложил на две недели выпуск своего нового альбома"Imperfect Harmonies" по весьма нетривиальной причине: не из чего делать буклет. Для буклетов последних двух альбомов System of a Down и первого сольника самого Танкяна использовалась экологичная бумага из недревесных волокон. Её же Танкян хотел использовать для оформления нового диска, но увы: на заводе, который изготовляет такую бумагу, кончилось сырьё. В результате новый диск, который, по признанию Танкяна, будет чрезвычайно политизированным, выйдет не 7 сентября, а 21-го. Впрочем, задержка, по мнению исполнителя, пошла альбому только на пользу. В сентябре и октябре Танкян планирует провести тур по США в поддержку нового альбома.
